One thing I love about North Carolina is the beautiful beaches. Cape Lookout is one of the beaches that is part of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Because you can only get to Cape Lookout by boat or ferry, there are not a lot of people on this beach. Some of my most favorite road trips in college were to Cape Lookout. We would spend all day on this beach with not a soul in sight!

 I can't believe it has been a year. Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of when I took this picture. On June 25, 2011 I flew for 8 hours from London to Nairobi, Kenya. This picture was taken of the Greek Islands. It reminds me of how small we really are in comparison to the World.

I love living in North Carolina! I am so convenient to landmarks and attactions that people drive from all over the country to visit. This is Duke University's Chapel in the springtime when the flowers come into bloom.

Spring is coming! My favorite season of the year. I love seeing the flowers bloom and nature awakening from its' sleep. The weather this week has been wonderful! Temperatures in the mid to high 70's which is very uncommon for this time of year. But I'm not complaining! I took this picture last year at the entrance to Duke University's campus. I love the beautiful colors and I cannot wait for everything to be in full bloom like this.

I think this is pretty cool. This is a picture I took of the Tea Country in Kenya. Tea Country- I keep these people in business. I am a true southern girl.. I drink Sweet Tea everyday. I never knew how tea was grown, but this is it. As far as the eye can see, for miles and miles.

I took this picture at a candlelight vigil last April. A vast array of thoughts come to my mind when I look at this candle. I feel it captures feelings of isolated sadness, but it also exemplifies how one candle can bring a beautiful light to darkness. It shows how we as individuals can continue to shine our light to others when they may be in their darkness. Just a smile can brighten someone's day and completely turn it around.
