Snapshot Sunday!

"Jesus loves the little children

All the children of the world.

Red or yellow, black or white, they are precious in his sight.

Jesus loves the little children of the world."

Snapshot Sunday!

I think this is pretty cool. This is a picture I took of the Tea Country in Kenya. Tea Country- I keep these people in business. I am a true southern girl.. I drink Sweet Tea everyday. I never knew how tea was grown, but this is it. As far as the eye can see, for miles and miles.

Snapshot Sunday!

I love this sweet moment that I captured in Kenya. We had the opportunity to build a home for this widow and her three children who did not have a roof over their head. While we were busy building her home, she shared a loving moment with her daughter.

Snapshot Sunday!

As you have probably figured out.. I love to take pictures! By a lot, I mean.. ALL the time I have a camera with me. I thought it would be fun to share more of these pictures with you on Sundays. I am going to try to share a different picture with you every Sunday. Some of these pictures I find inspiring, motivational, influential, thought-provoking and some that I personally just think are cool. This week I want to share with you a picture I took this summer in Kenya at the Nakuru National Game Park. (This zebra was so close, I hardly zoomed in).

A Trip of a Lifetime

As kids are starting to go back to school, the popular once-a-year question starts to be heard, "What did you do this summer?" Almost every year my answers have been similar. "Went to the beach," or "Went to visit family." However this year I have an answer I've never had before, "I went to Africa!"

On June 25th I left the Raleigh-Durham Airport with nine other people from my church headed to Kenya for 10 days. These 10 days were completely life-changing. I learned a lot about how long international flights can be, what it's like to drive on the other side of the road, speak the same language as someone 8,000 miles away from home, go to the bathroom on the side of the road, feed a baboon from your car car window and catch a glimpse of seeing the world as God sees it. We did more and learned more in a day in Kenya than I've ever done in America. My visit to Africa was a once in a lifetime experience and I can't wait to share my stories with you.
